2004, Day Four:
Fit for A King

  • Start: 6:17PM Summerlin
  • End: 8:23PM Summerlin
  • Sky Condition: High Clouds, Start temp: 86.9, End temp: 81.4

Day four actually started Friday evening well after our normal bedtime. We were invited to the "coronation" ceremony at the closing to the Tournament of Kings show at the Excalibur! How cool is that!

We met Michelle Tilton (Marketing Department) at the hotel Valet and walked RIGHT THROUGH THE CASINO! Everyone was so, so nice! I even got to say "Hi" to a "working" dog who was at the tables helping his blind partner.

First off, Michelle (Mimi) took us out to the rear entrance "rotunda" for some pretty cool pictures of the Castle all lit up at night.

From there, we went and got an ice-cold refreshment and then it was off to the Tournament Showroom. As the early show ended, we watched the workers prepare the arena and then we went down on the arena floor for my "coronation" as King Jordan! Just check out those pictures!!

Thanks to Mimi, Patty Coaley and ALL the wonderful people at the Excalibur!! HUZZAH!!!

We left the Excalibur shortly before the 8PM Tournament showtime and were back, safe at home in Summerlin to watch post-debate results. Then, off to bed for the weekend!!

Look for more stuff following Monday's visit to the Tropicana!

Fondly,
Jordan Fredericks
