2004, Day Three:
Broke Down, Busted, Disgusted

  • Start: Summerlin (our house) 4:22AM
  • End: Summerlin (our house) 5:56AM
  • Beginning temperature: 63.9 degrees, Ending temperature: 64.8, Sky: Clear. Winds: NNE 7-12 mph

What can I say? Day 3 was a total bust. Dad woke up to a dead battery in the Pathfinder and was forced to get a jump start off of his Harley Davidson. (That was fun! NOT!) Once we got the SUV going we drove straight to Wal-Mart where he parked under a big light so he could remove the old battery/take it inside the store and match it up with a new one! (Thanks to Russ and Pat for their help!)
$58 later dad came back out to the car only to realize he'd locked the car and the auto door locks would not work because THERE WAS NO BATTERY! So, he had to open the manual window lock on my door, crawl through the car and open the hood!

From there it was a quick install and BINGO! Back in business. However, by that time it was kinda late to start anything else so Dad decided just to take it easy and do some work around the house.

Back to work tomorrow! More pictures on the way!!! Friday night, we'll be at the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur! Huzzah!!!

Fondly,

Jordan Fredericks
