Summary:

We left our wonderful room at the Lake Union Residence Inn shortly before dawn PST... Our goal: Somewhere in central Montana.

Before leaving the Seattle area, Dad had to get a few more pictures of the Seattle skyline and Pioneer Square.

Heading east on I-90, it wasn't long before we were crossing the beautiful Snoqualmie Pass. From there it was on to eastern Washington, the Idaho Panhandle (including Coeur d'Alene) and on to Missoula, Montana.

Somewhere in eastern Washington, Dad realized he'd left his Am Ex card somewhere in Seattle! Bummer! But, a quick call to the folks at American Express and they fax info for a temporary to the Montana Travel Co. in Bozeman, Montana. (We picked it up the following morning at 8:00 AM. Thanks Sue from Montana Travel! So, we were back in business.)

All of Washington, Idaho and Montana are very BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately, Dad's accelerator pedal got stuck full-throttle (with the cruise on) about 1/2 hour west of Missoula. SCARY! (It happened once before just north of the Golden Gate bridge. This time Dad knew it was a mechanical issue with the Pathfinder.... So... NO MORE CRUISE CONTROL.)

We arrived in Missoula without further incident and crashed for the night!

Next stop: Old Faithful!! (Check out pictures!)

Fondly,

Jordan
