2002 Day One:
Welcome To Jordan's Road Trip!

It's been a long day. The first picture is of me ready to head out from Las Vegas. I am very tired, as it's 2:18 in the morning, Saturday the 21st. Nevertheless, I hopped in the back of Dad's SUV and we were off! I am so excited, I can't wait to stick my head out the window and feel the warm breeze across my tounge...after a good amount of sleep, of course.
The second picture is me in Phoenix, Arizona, and as you can see, it's bright and early! By the time we got to Phoenix, I was almost awake. It's now 7:27 in the morning, and the temperature inside the car is 76.6 degrees. Outside it's 78.1 degrees. Pretty nice. Soon, we'll be heading to New Mexico (and a nice air-conditioned hotel room!)
Here I am in the third picture, in Las Cruces, New Mexico and finally a chance to rest in style...on a hotel bedspread! This has been a long day. Dad and I drove about 700 miles! Then we departed from Las Cruces at 3:12 AM Mountain Time. The outside temperature is 61.2 degrees and the car temperature is 66.9 degrees under clear skies.
The fourth picture is our arrival in north Dallas, Texas, at 4:37 PM Central Time. Outside it's 90.9 degrees, but inside is a very comfortable 78.3 degrees. It's sunny outside, and so far we've travelled 745.9 miles.
The fifth picture is me wearing a had that Dad bought me. I like it for two reasons...one, it keeps the sun out of my eyes, and two, it says "Don't Mess With Texas." I'll write again at our next stop...Memphis, Tennessee!

Sincerely,

Jordan
